He picked a woman whose hand was raised and asked her, \u201cDo you actually want to work out or do you want to lose weight?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She said, \u201cI just want to lose weight.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGreat,\u201d he said. \u201cYou\u2019re a &#8216;haver.&#8217;\u00a0 You want to &#8216;have&#8217; the result.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Me,&#8221; he said, &#8220;I\u2019m a \u2018doer\u2019 who likes the process. I actually like to work out . . . .\u00a0 I want to sweat, I want to work hard.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So for coaches who want to attract a lot of good prospects, he advised marketing messages focused on\u00a0 the end results people want, not the process that gets them there.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Curious Advice\u00a0 <\/strong>What&#8217;s curious about this advice is:\u00a0 Can you really get results without the process?<\/p>\n<p>In other words, if you want a certain result, doesn&#8217;t that mean it&#8217;s not currently happening for you?\u00a0 To make it happen, then, wouldn&#8217;t you need to do something different, i.e., undertake a process of transformation?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>Looks to me like we have to be &#8220;doers&#8221; to be &#8220;havers.&#8221; <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">What do you think?
