Last week my fridge was barren and I couldn&#8217;t get to the store for a couple days. Fortunately I had a couple peppers left in the refrigerator&#8211;and a good pantry! So I had the makings for a quick stir-fry:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>Fresh Ingredients:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Red and yellow peppers (but you can keep frozen packages on hand, too)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>From the Pantry:<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Onion from the pantry<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Canned mushrooms<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Canned water chestnuts, sliced into matchsticks<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Thai green chile curry for seasoning<\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Fresh lime juice for seasoning<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><strong>From the Garden<\/strong><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\" style=\"padding-left: 40px;\">** Wild garlic for color (or green onions)<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s x126k92a\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\">Am I wild about canned foods&#8211;not so much. But they are a godsend when I can&#8217;t get to the store. Certainly some are better than others, like artichoke hearts, sliced beets and these mushrooms and water chestnuts.
