Here are a couple simple facts:
-
If you want to eat better meals, you must start by making better meals.
-
And the very best way to start making better meals is by planning better meals.
That’s the point behind my 4-week, online workshop, The #1 Most Boring–but also Most Brilliant Way to Make Healthy Meals and Break Free of Disease. That workshop shares:
1. The mechanics of meal planning, which are very straightforward.
2. How to clarify your eating goals, then use planning to achieve them.
3. Why we often don’t plan, even though it makes so much sense.
I hope you’ll read more about and sign up for that hands-on workshop. Then you’ll get to experience this amazing wonder: Meal making that’s manageable, not-so-stressful and even a little enjoyable! Once you’ve tried it, you’ll definitely want to continue.
But that’s when things get tricky.
As amazing as planning is, we very often don’t take the time to do it. Instead, you race into the kitchen with no clue what to make. You throw something together that fills your hunger hole, but it doesn’t meet your craving for nurture and nourishment. It’s all very frustrating and disappointing. Eventually you make it through another meal–but only to face the ordeal again tomorrow, and the next day and the next. Here is the way Claire explained it:
“When I plan, I don’t feel the stress/frustration of getting home and not having a plan to make something filling, tasty and healthy. I’m always trying to hit those marks with every meal, but when I don’t plan ahead, I usually eat something that is not filling enough, not particularly tasty or interesting and not very good for me.”
Are you ready to make planning happen
so you can make healthy meals happen?
Plan-Togethers — Support and Accountability
Think of plan-togethers like a support group and accountability buddy, all in one. Creating and taking a space of time is the hardest part of planning your meals. Plan-Togethers automatically gift you with the time to think ahead and plan — and make it a regular habit.
Habit-Forming
Interestingly, planning meals isn’t difficult–it’s much the same as planning your day, a vacation, a work project or a social outing. The only difference is that planning for meals just isn’t a regular fixture in our lives, something we do normally, no big deal. That’s the point of regularly scheduled Plan-Togethers: They provide the space and opportunity to make this critical practice a surprisingly joyful routine that you just do, without stressing over or struggling with it.

Is the Doctor Talking To You?
Are you getting the message that it’s time? Time to start doing something about your weight? Or about your health? Maybe it’s the unforgiving years that keep accumulating. Maybe it’s the limitations you’re starting to notice. Maybe it’s getting tired and running out of energy all the time, not being able to sleep at night, or just not feeling like doing much anymore.
Don’t wait!
Eating better is one of the three most effective actions you can take to turn things around. Replace the processed sugars, flours and fats in our diet with lots of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and good proteins and fats.
It’s such an easy and powerful elixir–as long as you start by planning. Don’t think you can just stroll into the kitchen at 5:30 and make a health-giving meal without thinking, planning and shopping ahead. Instead, you’ll end up making the same old things you always make–and that you don’t want to be making or eating anymore.
Put yourself on the road to success by planning for it!
What Others Are Saying from the 5-Week Meal Planning Workshop
“I think Plan-Togethers are a great idea for group support to build the planning habit and share ideas!”
“Very thoughtful and thought provoking material. Very helpful for identifying roadblocks and working to overcome them.”
“Loved every class!”
“I like the way you interact with participants to get them to share their specific challenges. I also like having time on the call to meal plan.”
“This class gave me inspiration (or “sparks” as you call it) and motivation by showing me the benefits of planning, and was a good place to throw out questions, concerns, insecurities. I was happy to have the time to intentionally reflect on my habits.”
Achieving your healthy eating dreams is the most spectacular benefit of planning your meals. But there are so many others that make this simple habit a no-brainer:
Beat Boredom and Enjoy Tastier Meals Tired of making the same old things night after night? That won’t change unless you plan something new and different — and it doesn’t have to be anything big or overwhelming. Maybe a new spice, a new type of noodle, a simple new recipe, a new vegetable . . . .
One participant was delighted to see that planning ahead delivered “healthier and more delicious meals.”
Mealtime Help Tired of doing it all? A plan makes it possible and easy to delegate all or parts of meal making, from the shopping to the chopping, and from marinating the meat to starting the slow cooker.
Here’s what one participant found: “My boyfriend wants to cook and having a plan makes it easier for him to join in!”
Money Savings Tired of wasting money on food that rots in the frig or sits unused in a cupboard. With a plan you get only what you need and know exactly how and when to use it. Plus avoid costly impulse buys.
Time Savings Tired of wasting time worrying about what to fix, wandering around the grocery store wondering what to buy and spinning your wheels in the kitchen trying to pull together a meal without a clear game plan? You’ll love the clarity and certainty a plan provides.

Why Such Reasonable Prices?
If you’ve been to my classes, you know these are very reasonable prices — I don’t have to convince you with the standard line about how they “are no more than a few lattes” (although that’s true!)
You’ll see that I put a lot of energy and effort into my classes–because I so want to be of service to help our communities become healthier and realize all the good things that come with good health.
This is probably why my classes consistently receive 9s and 10s on evaluations–and why you won’t be sorry to invest in these value-packed programs. I feel confident you’ll find that it’s a small price to pay for a set of skills, tools and systems that will benefit you for the rest of your meal making life.
I also love offering you these low introductory prices to try this new and unique offering. In return, I’d love your feedback and suggestions to improve my programs to best serve the needs of busy home cooks.

Should You Take the 5-Week Online Meal Planning Workshop?
It isn’t required by any means. But it will certainly make your planning life easier and there is a special pricing for the Workshop when you join our Plan-Together group. If you decide to take the Workshop, there’s no need to wait to join our Plan-Togethers. You can do both at the same time, which will actually be very effective.
What If I’m On a Special Diet?
Then you should definitely join this group—and also take the 5-Week Online Meal Planning Workshop. Successful dietary transitions are almost impossible without thinking ahead and planning. You’ll simply fall back into your old patterns and ways of shopping and cooking.
In this connection, know that meal planning is a neutral skill, i.e., it doesn’t matter what dietary approach you follow or if you don’t even follow any specific approach but just want to generally eat better. Planning is the key to ensure that whatever the meals of your dreams, those are the ones that show up on your table.
What If I Already Know How to Cook?
Here’s how one participant answered this question: “I found all the material very inspirational even for someone like me who was already comfortable in the kitchen and loved to cook.” This is what we have found consistently over the years: First, even good cooks are surprised to see how much there is to learn about cooking — which is both exciting and motivating. In addition, being a good cook doesn’t mean you are making tasty and wholesome meals on a regular basis. Good cooks very often run into many of the same barriers as less experienced cooks — which is why the meal planning habit is critical for all levels of cooks.
Are the Two Monthly Sessions the Same?
At the outset, yes the two sessions will feature the same recipe themes and content. But for no extra cost, you can take advantage of the motivation and immense benefits of planning twice per month instead of just once. In the future, we hope to offer two different sessions to add ever more interest to your meal times.
“Mary — I think your materials are all excellent. They are clear and easy-to-understand and useful!! 🙂 “
“I liked that Mary addressed every participant’s need or concern to helps us overcome roadblocks.“
“I found that I had more leftovers and more options to transform them in different meals and save on time on shopping & prep time.”
“Thank you for everything you do! This class gave me a lot of sparks and the motivation I needed to commit to meal planning — the benefits are just too good to miss out on.”
“You are a great teacher. I really like your approach of a basic framework that we can then mix and match using the various protein-veggie-starch-seasonings options to customize our meals.
The hardest part about healthy cooking is deciding what to cook. So whenever you struggle making the wholesome, health-giving meals of your dreams, ask yourself: “Did I start out with a clear idea of what to make?”
It’s understandable if you often race into the kitchen clueless, because deciding what to make for dinner–or breakfast or lunch–is harder than you think. You must juggle up to a dozen considerations, from what do you feel like, what does your family like and what can you make that’s a little different, to whether it’s nutritious, affordable and doable in the time you have.
Planning ahead is the only way to make sure you make meal decisions you’re happy with and that meet your healthy eating hopes and goals. That’s why I’m so excited to share this valuable life skill with you–and help you make it a lifelong habit.
Please do join me for this class and experience the surprising joy of planning ahead and seeing your healthy eating dreams come true.
“The course underscored for me the importance of meal planning, and this support will help me when I feel overwhelmed trying to stay on track with the diet I need.”
“You were awesome!”
